How does it feel to be homeless? What is the work being done by YMCA Valletta?
In a typical year YMCA Homeless Project helps more than 9000 people from troubled
families, victims of domestic violence, homeless individuals and people living in sub-standard
accommodation. The Twelve Appeal was a request for help by YMCA to keep on doing its work and give
hope and dignity back to these people.
A group of personalities from all walks of life united between the 12th and the 13th of May
2006 in Republic Street, Valletta and experience homelessness by sleeping on 12 mattresses.
They wanted to raise awareness and funds for the YMCA Valletta Homeless Project.
